Meet the face
behind the posts
Aloha, Howdy, Hey!
Super excited to share and get a tad bit personal with y’all! Okay, if you don’t want to read this entire post ill sum it up for ya right now:
I hope to inspire creativity and a sense of adventure, provoke thought, and share about my life. If you love adventures, plants, culinary arts, and the Lord, then you are in the right place. Oh, and you can’t forget about my passion for organization and healthy living! I will be posting about anything and everything; Recipes, Plant mom things, life at a Christian University, my favorite products, travel, and organization.
I am currently a full-time student at Liberty University, fan the Flames! As an interdisciplinary Major, I am double majoring in Business and Family and Consumer Science. I am minoring in Personal Health and Nutrition. Unfortunately, LU doesn’t offer any culinary classes, so I hope to further my education at a culinary institution not yet chosen. Freshman year of college I was on a completely different path with a major in Aeronautics with a military cognate and minoring in Russian and military leadership. All the while on a very nice scholarship from the air force and doing AFROTC. I am still very passionate about the Air Force and am still thinking about enlisting after graduation, just not necessarily passionate about becoming an officer and making a career out of it right now.
I am originally from a small beach town on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Long summer nights, private islands, friends, and beautiful beaches, it truly is like living in a book. I work seasonly as a barista while selling my baked goods through local shops. I have two Australian Shepherds, I am the middle child, with an older brother and younger sister. I have grown up in a Christian household with two loving and supportive parents. I have been on one missions trip to Africa and my eyes were opened to the rest of the world.
The tentative plan for my future: Graduate, culinary school, enlist in the Air Force, possible job as emergency management director, greenhouse cafe/event space owner. I want my culinary education to be focused on healthier alternatives, baking, farm-to-table, and supporting locals. As far as a job in emergency management, I am not set on this path, I like the idea of responding to an emergency or natural disaster situation. Possible jobs: Red cross, Firefighter, or maybe Search and Rescue. The end goal of a greenhouse cafe/event space could also change depending on how the rest pans out. The ultimate dream would be to make a living traveling.
